Simple & Cheap Eucalyptus Wreath
Okay I have a confession. I'm OBSESSED with Joanna Gaines! Last summer I gave birth to my third baby, and one of the things I was looking forward to during the first few weeks postpartum was binge watching Netflix and Hulu. Nevermind I knew I was about to feel like I got hit by a bus, I was willing to go through child birth head on again with the sweet dream of guilty-free TV marathons on the other side. Well when it came down to it, I had a heavy case of PPD, which made me extremely sensitive to basically everything everywhere all the time, especially movies & television shows. I tried watching the Hands Maid Tale and just about needed counseling. Stranger Things? Utterly disturbed. The Americans? Gave me anxiety. This lead me to two perfectly safe, very non-stressful series to watch on end: The Office, and Fixer Upper! I don't recommend The Office however if laughing hurts your postpartum healing process. But Fixer Upper!! Oh yes! Nothing speaks to a nesting mama more than Joanna Gaines and her kitchen islands and shiplap. One of my main takeaways from Fixer Upper was a new love for all things eucalyptus. I'm obsessed. I want eucalyptus everything. Which leads me to this post: a super easy super cute super cheap eucalyptus wreath. Follow the directions below for your very own Joanna-esque decoration.
You will need hot glue gun, flower wire, and a eucalyptus garland. I got mine for $12.00 on sale at Hobby Lobby. Not pictured is an old Christmas Wreath that I used for my base.
Simply hot glue the garland on your base, secure with flower wire, and boom: |
