Best Summer Beach Reads

One of my most absolute favorite things to do ever is to grab a good book and go lay on the beach somewhere. With a pink rum drink. And the soothing sounds of the water. And the warm summer breeze rushing through my hair.  And fantasize about reading on the beach apparently, because now that I have a little baby at home that is something that is NOT going to be happening for a while.  So that is why you must pick a book from my summer reading list and do this for me and I will vicariously have a relaxing summer moment through you.

Now keep in mind a beach read isn’t going to be in intense book. You want your beach book to be light and fluffy, something juicy you can devour in a short period of time.  You won’t find any deep thinkers on this list but you will find something fun to read while poolside!

1. Nine Perfect Strangers by Lian Moriarty. This book is perfect for a mom in serious need of a therapeutic weekend away at a spa retreat where everyone else airing their dirty laundry makes you feel better about your own life. It’s juicy, it’s mysterious, it’s slightly creepy, and it’s just the read for you if you enjoy a daily dose of juicy gossip.

2. The One and Only by Emily Giffin. There is no reason that a book about a love story between a girl and her dead friends dad should work but it does.  Super weird but the kind that you won’t be able to stop reading.

3. Girl Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis.  I loved this book so much I wanted to read it again immediately as soon as I finished it. It’s like your best friend encouraging you to live your life to the fullest and helping push you until you get there. It’s positivity and inspiration can’t be beat.
