Upcycled Candle Jars

I am a huge supporter of throwing things away. Seriously. Why hang on to things you’re not using? With a love for all things minimal I’ve been known to go a little crazy on tossing things out. But let me tell you, there is one household item worth hanging on to: candle jars. If you are like me, sometimes you purchase candles just because they are in a beautiful jar. But when your candle gets to the end of its life don’t throw it out! There are so many other uses for that beautiful jar. The list is endless.

Homemade body scrub jar.
Succulent planter.
Beauty product holder.
Entryway catch all.
Desktop organizer.

Seriously you guys the list goes on. But how do you clean the wax out of the jar? I’m glad you asked! It’s so simple!

Place jars in the freezer for a couple of hours/over night. Freezing the wax condenses it making it super easy to just pop out of the bottom of the jar. Once you pop the wax out, wash any labels off with warm water. Wash out the jar, and voila. You’re good to go. Enjoy!
