Main Bathroom Renovation Reveal

It's not going to come as a big surprise to you that I totally love decorating. Like if someone granted me a three wishes sort of day, one of my wishes would be to have a shopping spree at Hobby Lobby and go to town on decorating my house. Which is why when we bought our 1960s Brady Bunch house five years ago, I decided it was the perfect match for us because of all the decorating that needed to be done (wood planking was everywhere....eeesh!!) The three areas of our home that needed the most attention were: kitchen, living room, bathroom. The original plan was to do a big kitchen renovation last year but cue the bonus baby (aka Sylvie) and we found ourselves out of a budget pretty quickly. But not wanting to just put all of our home-reno desires on hold we decided to tackle a much simpler, smaller, more affordable project than a brand new designer kitchen, and remodel our bathroom.

To fully appreciate how far this bathroom has come - let's take a step back in time to see the before. Here's what our main bathroom looked like when we bought our mid-century mod fixer upper. I remember standing at the doorway of the bathroom and just wondering - what was the matter with people in the 60s?!?

I mean, seriously now...can you believe this was the style? If you look close enough you can notice the knobs for the drawers are tassels. Need I say more? No! But I will...here it is from more angles incase you haven't yet quite grasped the full picture:

Okay so now you see where we were coming from. With help from our lovely designer Kelly Smith from Maureen's Kitchen + Bath and the awesome guys from Knutson Custom Construction we were able to see our dream bathroom become a reality. Their beautiful tile-work and stunning attention to detail made this renovation one of those bathrooms that just might inspire every last detail of your next home makeover project!

I still have "pinch me" moments where I can't believe this is our bathroom! Do you have a project you have been longing to tackle? I would love to hear more about it! Tell me all about it in the comments below!
