Quick and Easy Neutral Cat Eye
Okay you guys, if you haven't guessed it by now, I'm super obsessed with makeup! When I was a little girl, some of my earliest memories are of me getting into trouble for sneaking into my parents bathroom and going to town with my mom's makeup. When I was in fourth grade, I got my very first tube of lipstick. My mom got it from me as a souvenir when she went to Las Vegas and I'll never forget it; it was a light pink shade in this super cute cheetah printed tube. Once I became a little older, you KNOW I was the first of my girlfriends to wear a little eyeshadow to school, plus I would always volunteer when someone's mom needed a host for a Mary Kay party. So naturally I love coming up with different looks for all kinds of occasions, but my go-to, most signature face would have to be the pink, natural cat eye. It's fresh, it's natural, and best of all can be done in 5 easy steps! Follow my steps below two give yourself your own natural looking eye so you can feel like a million bucks when you're scanning the aisles at the grocery store later:
1. Swipe a pink colored eyeshadow across the crease of your eyelid, and then across your lash line.
2. Apply a bronzy-brown to the outer corner of your eyelid.
3. Using a brown-black eyeliner, line the outer edge of your eye only. For cat eyes, it's best to use liquid or felt tip eyeliner. If you use pencil eyeliner you'll need to draw on too many layers and your final result won't look smooth.
4. Using a sponge applicator and a darker shade of brown, define your outer crease by shading in a sideways 'v' shape, & blend.
5. Finish with mascara. Apply several sweeps across your top lashes with your mascara wand. I skip my bottom lashes for more of a wide-eyed look.
