Best Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
You guys, I had the best grandma ever! She spoiled me rotten, played outside with me every chance she got, and she was seriously the best cook ever. My grandma always had her cookie jar full and she always nailed the recipe. When I turned 16 my grandma started giving me my own lessons in the kitchen. It was then that she passed down some of her most treasured cooking and baking secrets to me, and lucky you, I'm going to share my top three favorite ones with you today.
1. It's always best to cook with wine. Sometimes you can even put it in the food.
2. The best way to a man's heart is through his stomach. (Boy was she right on this one!)
3. Sometimes, the best "homemade" stuff actually comes out of a box. And that's okay!
Yep! That's right. I know many of you are gasping in horror at the thought of that last one. But if you remember in my bio...I'm not on a mission to be a Betty Home Maker. I'm on a mission for practicality. And lets not forget, I have three kids which equals no free time. I love baking and searching for the best chocolate chip cookie recipes all the time and when I converted my diet to being strictly gluten-free five years ago, I noticed the biggest challenge was coming up with a good gluten free cookie recipe that didn't a.) crumble apart or b.) have a bunch of weird and expensive ingredients in them. Insert Betty Crocker Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix. They're easy. They're fast. They're delicious. They're in my opinion the best Gluten-free cookies I've ever had. And these cookies are so fool-proof that even your kids can make them, which to me makes them the best after school snack + activity ever! Betty Crocker for the win!
